It's actually past midnight, but I haven't gone to sleep so it's still the first day of the new year for me.
Starting a blog is a bad idea. It's never worked for me, in the 6 or 7 times I have tried it in the past. I think it's something about my incredibly lazy nature that just prevents it from working smoothly.
I haven't ever really started something on the first day of the new year before, mostly because I don't believe in New Year's Resolutions. Significant life changes can't be made just because you realise the relentless march of time has seen another pointless year go by. I'm sure it works for some people, but most don't have the motivation to stick with it.
Normally I start trying to write a blog in about June or July, when I have a mid-year crisis. My uni marks aren't going so well, and it's winter so the only time I leave the house is to watch football, and after a year like 2010 for the Eagles that was more like chinese water torture.
One advantage I do have is this- I have plenty to say, and I can think fast. For instance right now I'm just typing and thinking of what to type next at the exact same time, it probably won't amount to anything brilliant but a spark of inspiration could be right around the corner- the right wing media is poisoning the Australian Cricket team. OK, not everything is a winner, but it's the internet. You're not expecting brilliance, and if you've read this far you'll know there's none coming.
Have a great 2011 my loyal and dedicated reader(s?).
hey man as a anonymus reader you're blog i think is really good, even better than wikileaks which was mostly a rip-off of that movie White Chicks. have you ever seen that? i can led you a copy i have like 4.
