In The Beginning

In sporting terms, an unmarked man is one without an opponent.

Two of the definition of the word opponent are:

1. Someone who competes against or fights another in a contest, game, or argument.
2. A person who disagrees with or resists a proposal or practice.

In sporting terms, we are referring to number one. In the title of this blog, I am using the sporting term 'unmarked man', but using the second definition of the word 'opponent', which you would understand me to be using if you were a sports fan. So in saying this, I am attempting to convey the message that my thoughts have no opponent, that they are without doubt accurate and intelligent, without logical opposition to them.

This whole mess could have been avoided with a less obscure title to the blog, but I had to choose that first and I felt under pressure at the time.

Welcome to the unmarked man, a blog without opposition*

*In the sense that the word opposition... oh I've already explained this.
